Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation recently partnered with the American Warrior Initiative to host a United States Marines veteran in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area. Along with this event, Fairway held a residential housing “boot camp” to train real estate professionals and mortgage planners on how to exhibit excellence in handling the home-purchase needs of active duty military members and veterans.
The event honoree, Debra McCollum, served in the Marines from 1980-1988 and has various disabilities from her time in service. Fairway and AWI raised $10,000 to honor Debra by presenting her with a service dog, “Keno,” from Custom Canines. Keno will help Debra in her day-to-day life. Founded by Louise Thaxton and Sean Parnell, the American Warrior Initiative is a non-profit organization sponsored by Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation. The AWI seeks to ease U.S. veterans’ transition from military to civilian life.
I am proud to work for a company that does so much to honor those who sacrifice for our country. If I can help answer questions about VA loans or any other home loan options, please give me a call.Tags: Veterans
